Help - LYCO Sheet Music Archive
HelpI can't open one of the files. There's many reasons why this can happen, depending on the file type.
I can view the files, but I can't save them.Right-click or Control-click on the links and a menu will appear. One of the items should allow you to save the music. The exact wording will depend on your Web browser; it should say something like 'Save as', 'Save link as' or 'Save linked file to the desktop'. I can view the PDFs, but they look terrible. On Mac OS, and possibly elsewhere, the stave lines appear unreadably thick on the computer screen. They print correctly despite this. I can hear the audio files, but they sound terrible. They're just there to give an approximate idea of how the piece sounds. MIDI Files are synthesised by your computer, so the phrasing will always be poor. The quality of the synthesis depends on your computer. Any MP3 recordings will not be studio quality, and will usually contain errors and background noise. I can open the source files in Sibelius, but they don't have all the parts. They're present but hidden. Select 'View' -> 'Focus on Staves', or click on the 'Focus on Staves' button on the toolbar. (The button has five horizontal lines on it). I have a problem that isn't mentioned on this page.Send it here.
